I started Filter Free Parents to create a site that felt like a community. A place for parents to feel like they weren’t alone in what they were experiencing and feeling. This parenting journey is hard. It’s wonderful and life-changing, but it’s also really, really hard. So, I wanted Filter Free Parents to be that go-to place for sharing ideas, frustrations, celebrations, and questions about parenting.
And don't forget us grandparents too. I'm really excited to start this journey with everyone here. Normally I'm the last one in...lol. Have a great day.🙂
I love being a mom and wanted to be a mom when I grew up. I’m grown up for sure with 4 kids and it’s HARD AF. I keep trying so hard to not yell......but seriously when my 6yo climbs in the van after school it’s meltdown mode...almost 4yo starts crying and screaming as well because for them, a broken granola bar, banana, anything but “yes” is the end of the world. WWIII against mom. 4yo, 6yo, 9yo, 15yo.
It's hard but it is some of the most amazing times. I've seen two through graduation now..we saw the first one off to university, that was hard but I'm so excited for my babies.
I’m so excited to jump on this journey train. Meredith, I can relate to you so much. It’s good to know I’m not the only one struggling out here. 9 kids, 2 super spoiled grandchildren for me.
I can tell that you are proud of your children. You didn't mention that your son is handsome and your daughter is too cute for words. And, Mom, you too are lovely and I am sending a hug!
Just subscribed because you have a senior son. Mine left for college a few weeks ago. I’m glad FFP is not about raising 7 year-olds since the adage “little kids, little problems...” is true. Can we agree that the most challenging impediment to raising good teenagers is other (stupid) parents? ☺️
