CHEERS!

Sweet, refreshing, and perfect for a hot, summer evening. Cheers!

Strawberry Gin Spritzer

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

  • 2 oz gin

  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice

  • 1 oz simple syrup

  • Sparkling water or club soda

  • Ice

  • Fresh mint leaves and additional strawberries for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a cocktail shaker, add the sliced strawberries and muddle them well to release their juices.

  2. Add the gin, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup to the shaker.

  3. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds. Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice.

  4. Top off the drink with sparkling water or club soda.

  5. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and additional strawberry slices if desired. CHEERS!

Notes:

  • Simple Syrup: To make simple syrup, combine equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan. Heat until the sugar dissolves, then let it cool.

YUM!

Use up all those strawberries you brought home from the You-Pick farm field trip, or you bought on BOGO at Publix, before they go bad with this AMAZING dessert. Top it with ice cream or whipped cream (or both!) for an extra cool treat. Yum!
